Hunting, Fishing, Rambling, and Complete Outdoor Hilarity

Happy Birthday to the Outdoor Blogger Network!

I’m going to skip out on the usual Tuesday Terrors due to a special occasion…

Rebecca and Joe over at the OBN have had the site up and running for a full year now. The Outdoor Blogger Network is a place for all outdoor bloggers (hunters, fishermen, hikers, campers, you name it) to share stories, tips, and connect via the blogosphere. Thanks to their hard work, the network has grown exponentially and has connected countless bloggers that otherwise, might not have ever met.

I was unaware of the fact that I actually joined the OBN only a month or two after its creation. Joining the network was one of the best moves I’ve ever made. Had I not joined the network, I wouldn’t have a good 95% of the blogs on my reading list, and I definitely wouldn’t have the reader base that I have. Heck, just about all of my friends in the blogosphere I met somehow through the OBN.

They offer gear reviews, writing prompts, photo promts, contests, give-aways, you name it. I’ve even been lucky enough to get one of my posts on their ‘Reader approved’ list and received gear to review. This week they’re giving away all sorts of outdoor stuff in celebration, so if you haven’t done so already, get over there and check it out. You may just find a few blogs that are a blast to follow.

So thank you OBN! And happy birthday!

  1. Alex,
Thank you for posting about our celebration! We really wanted to get the word out since we are giving away so much outdoor gear.

A share the love kind of deal =)

I’m glad you were part of the first group of bloggers that got into the network. We hit the ground jogging and I feel like at this point, I’m sprinting! I’ve met so many great people this last year and I can’t wait to welcome even more into our great community.

Thanks again for being part of it all,
    Rebecca
